Slow YouTube on iPad

Are you having slow YouTube speeds on your iPad? After searching around, and doing some of my own testing, I have found out why! There are two reasons why your YouTube is slow:
- bad iPad. (yes, this does happen)
- the iPad always downloads YouTube videos in their highest available resolution, whether your Internet connection can stream at that speed or not! I have proven this by watching a video only available in the 320 resolution (verified on my laptop) on my iPad. The video streamed with no problems! Then I tried a video that was available in HD (my Internet connection at 1.5mbps isn't fast enough to stream that quality) sure enough, the video took just as long to load in HD on my laptop that it did on my iPad. At work, where I have a really fast 20mbps connection, everything plays perfectly. Apple really needs to add an option to their iPad where you can adjust the quality of the stream you are getting... Otherwise, people will go back to their laptops for YouTube!
