Operating System

CPU:
A Central Processing Unit. It is the brain of your computer. It also is what usually makes your new computer faster or slower than your friend's new computer.

Operating System:
An operating system controls the basic input/ouput functions of your computer. It also provides a standard interface for your programs to run in. Examples of operating systems are Microsoft Windows, DOS, Linux, MAC OS X, Free BSD, and UNIX.
